This portable paint set from Stockmar in a tin, contains 12 artist quality opaque watercolour paints, known also as ‘gouache.’ The set includes a tube of opaque white, a high quality cats tongue brush made of Ponex synthetic hair and a removable mixing palette. The colour palette can easily be taken out to wash. The Cats Tongue Paint Brush holds its shape and is vegan friendly made of Ponex synthetic hair.

Like all Stockmar materials, the colour palette is based on an extended version of Goethe’s colour circle. These opaque colours have a unique luminosity due to the high concentration of pigment used and the colours remain vibrant and strong even after dilution. Stockmar opaque colours are suitable for various painting techniques; classic opaque painting (over painting) classic watercolour painting, lazure painting or techniques based on a mixture of approaches.
